Cough, Cough

It’s killin me. It’s so bad, that I have to skip my weekend booze. I’ve reached a point, that I can’t go further without a Doc check. Somehow I detest the impersonal examination of the local Doc, who will check for my high BP, pulse and chest congestion .

But what happened to those friendly family Doctors who used to visit our house to hand that special assurance. Does anyone get that kind of treatment, or you visit one of those close by clinics? I think, that kind of practice is gone and only few private, expensive clinics offer that kind of personal touch.

Whistle if want anything

Sometimes I wonder if any human can comprehend the unending explosion of news, views, & content from world wide web. There are so much things to read, see, and too share.

Every day I bump into some beautiful blog, website or news site. But due to my crass disorganization, I forget to save it for future reference. I know there are ways to organize links, such as Evernote, or you can just save as a fav list. Despite, all these, I fail to save and reuse it. Can you suggest or show how you’re organizing. Sometimes, I feel jelouse when I see people who save or name their folder and arrange things in a very systematic way.

Today I was going through the page which as the details of final resting place of Hollywood actors. On that page I liked this punch line said by of Humphrey Bogart.

“If you want anything, just whistle.”

How weekend begins and ends

How well did you use your weekend to relax?
Most of my weekend goes with out any real celebration. With very limited social life, I’m just left straddled in
my own house, drinking, browsing, or doing some errands.

How can I use these 48 hrs to connect or rejuvenate. I’m thinking on putting down on writing on what all to achieve, or try out during the week. At least this would give the start towards aiming better for the goal.

How do you spend your time? Do you meet new people, share your thoughts or just get along in the regular hum-dum of activities?

Here’re 10 ideas to help you relax during weekends.

Some ideas I’ve tried out:

  • Massaging my partner and getting it back
  • Watching a movie
  • Clearing up the mess
  • Eating out or having grilled fish
  • Drinking beer at Hard Rock Cafe or Tavern
  • Taking photographs
  • Hunting for antiques around Bangalore

Turns Me ONNN

Every one has some queer weakness towards opposite sex. I’ve many falling, some too weird to be shared on public space.

One trigger factor, is when I see girls with simple hair bands I get some kind of weakness to my knees ( bit of exaggeration). Girls with simple hair bands looks looks a princess kind. I can’t but admire the glow girls have when they wear this along with lovely skirts.

7 things about Me

I took inspiration from this blog with the original 100 things about me. Suddenly it dawned on me to write little of what I’m.

  1. When I was young I loved playing with bows and arrows
  2. I tried grass but it never kicked on me
  3. Still now I don’t know my fav drink ( rum, whiskey, Brandy, Arrack)
  4. I’m lousy when it comes to talking with women
  5. When my first love left me, I was addicted to Bruce Springsteen’s Human Touch album
  6. I regularly took James Hadley Chase novel from a NSS library
  7. When I don’t get sleep, I put on the lights to get sleep
These are just tip of the iceberg of what I’m. Anyways, I feel good speak these little of what I’m. Why don’t you start penning your thoughts…

Getting past the road block

Other day I was going through 1000awesomethings to fetch an awesome moment. Then I saw this post about road blocks. It’s universal, but it’s worst in Bangalore and in India’s underdeveloped roads.

Many times when I on the road, I have found myself behind a seeming never ending traffic-jam. I find it taxing to move inch by inch, especially in my oil stained bullet. Suddenly as I close near the bottleneck, I find the reason for road block too silly to make this long line.

And what a felling you get past the road block to the open road.

Awesome!

Coffee Talk

coffee day conversationWhat’s better idea than sipping hot cup of coffee on a chilly weather (26°C | 19°C) in Bangalore . Despite being flooded with polluting expats like me, Bangalore still retains its charming weather. As we move towards the chill Christmas season, I’m getting ready to enjoy endless cups of coffee.

Moreover, it’s the season to be jolly, jolly. I’m going to search and play all the Jim Reeves music I have stored in my hard disk. For some reason, I always get a nostalgic and sentimental listening to Jim Reeves, esp during Xmas time.

Are you like me?.

Sleep Positions

I had a hard time catching sleep during my train trip to Kerala. I was in side lower, thought my fav was lower berth. I feel left out in the dark when train commuters goes to sleep very early. Most of the folks have dinner by 20:00 hrs. By 21:00 hrs people are ready shuffling their sheets and all the buzz to lower the berth.

This time was no exception. I was reading Chase, but soon I had to abandon it due to poor lighting. Next best thing I could do in the dim light was to watch other people’s sleeping positions.

It’s kind of funny to watch strangers sleep. People so distant, so different, totally different are sleeping close to each other. One Mallu girl with glasses was sleeping with wild abandon, with legs wide apart. It gave a sort of kinky feeling.

Kochu Veli Express

I frequently board Kochu Veli train to reach my home town. Mostly it’s in the sleeper class or three tier ( Summer time.) Every time I travel, I wish I could connect or interact with some stranger. But off late, I’m running into bad luck. I don’t get any interesting fella or lady for a good conversation. What’s the use of having dozens of coffee/tea in Indian train without using that time to share new ideas across the seat.

I wonder if there’s any site to find & connect with other commuters in the same trip.

I did a search and found few sites that allow travelers to interact. I’m not sure if these work the way I think. Soon we’ll be having mobiles to search locally & meet with like minded souls, till then we either has to stare at the opposite beauty or take an effort to break the ice.
