If we are into some kind of business, one of the primary motivation is to monetize. Making profits which is important to sustain the business activity.
However, not all is business. In the time you are transacting with a person, you’re not always thinking of money, you also would be thinking of giving the best experience to the customer or prospect. Also, while your cash register is ringing, it might be important to think of giving back to people in some way.
Giving Back Time
On the thought of giving back, here’s the thing that I have found. I’m planning to propagate and gift coreopsis to people who I know, probably my existing customers, or those who come home.
Why Coreopsis?
I never knew the name of this plant. Last month during a flower show in Nishagandhi at Trivandrum, I say pot with the same plant and a name board. Eureka!
The name which was eluding for a long time has come to our lap. My mom who was with me asked me to take a picture of the name board. Yes, that helped me to remember the name.
This yellow blooming plant has been with us for more than one decade. There was times when it barely survived the harsh summer or the continuous rains. Now with Mom’s care it’s back to big bouquet.
After seeing the bunch of flowers fluttering in the wind, I thought – why not share this plant to more people – see the same bloom in other houses too.
This is when I decided to take up coreopsis as a not-for-profit venture.
