Radical Technology Solution for Kashmir

For the last couple of days, India was at the edge of a war sort of situation. I was deeply worried about the scenario as I would know that any sort of war would jeopardize my life and the life of thousands of Indians who was dependent of small business.

From the Indian perspective, this sort of situation was brought by Pakis, whom we accuse of harboring and facilitating terror attacks and so forth. I have a slightly different view compared with the typical Indian folks, but these days we people are too sensitive to this topic so I keep most of my thoughts to myself to people with whom I’m free to share.

My Kind of Plan to Bring Peace and Prosperity to Kashmir

( These are just random ideas – not sure these are crack ideas, but I felt the need to share these)

1. First on the agenda – Modernize the war machinery used by Indian Army. Incorporate technology in a big way, purchase modern guns, etc

Indian air force is waging war using Soviet era MIG places. It’s time, we replace them with modern ones like F35 or things like that.

This should be done by an additional cess ( tax). For example, public should contribute to modernize the armed forces.

2. Create Jobs Opportunities for Kashmiri Youth

 One way to bring positive thoughts is by making Kashmiri prosperous. On this thought, the plan should be start new business, employment centers.

a. Start a IT park which should house all the Indian IT outsourcing centers ( Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc). There should be tax concessions for companies starting their arm in the state.

b. Create a IIT and IIM in the state

c. Develop the largest entertainment park ( with sea theme, wave pool, ski ring

d. Launch the longest cable car service connecting two cities

e. Give license to build the biggest casino unit

f, Create

3. Wall Project Along the Border

 Why do our politicians always has to complain about infiltration and infiltrators if there’s a way to seal the border. Yes, I’m suggesting something like what Trump is doing.

I know it’s a mammoth task, but that’s the ONLY way to control what comes to our land. A wall project will cost billions, which can be funded through additional tax. Well, who will propose it. Of course our Prime Minister Mr Modi, who can convince people the benefits and tell people to contribute for this project.

4. Implant Sensor and Smart Guns along the Border

   Building wall in certain parts of the boundary is not a feasible idea. There are mountain terrains where such a project will not work. This is where technology ( AI, Sensors, IOT) will work.

Here’s the plan
1. Fix smart sensors along the areas where there are no walls or places which are not accessible by troops. These sensors with camera with night vision options and infra red scanners is programmed to detect any moment of people – day or night or in bad whether.

When a movement is detected, it will automatically sound an alarm. Next, through the speaker, it will automatically give a warning in the typical security officers voice.

Suppose the intruders are not heading to the siren, then the sensor passes the trigger to the gun. Then this gun will start a warning shot in the air. Even after all these warning, if the insurgents are not listening, then these guns will lock the target and start firing. Bang, bang!

I’m not sure if such a machinery exist with armed forces. If not, they got to develop it. This will use the power of sensor, infra red camera, and lock on to the target. Also, during all such alerts, the monitoring team in Delhi can see the images on their screen. Imagine how such a technology can help the Indian Army.

Note to Indian Military – Be the first to make and perfect such a gun and you wouldn’t need a human sentry to man many of the remote outposts in India.

These sensors will be inside a metal pole which can be kept around the border. Each such pole, though looking like a metal pole, will be the most advanced pole developed by the armed forces.

5. Build Sports Arena in Kashmir and in Each District or Panchayat

 The idea of creating a recreational centre with modern facility and conveniences is this – an active physical mind will produce proactive chemicals which makes people happy. So, these happy hormones can take away or sap other negative vibes.

Indoor game facility can be used by public for games such as basket ball, Table Tennis, badminton, Caroms, Chess, etc.

The sports arena in Srinagar will also have bowling facility, and temperature controlled swimming pool. Wow!

Finally….

Engage in real brainstorming session with the people of Kashmir, with those who are active as terrorists, on how we can slowly build the bond, connection.

Also, make education compulsory to all.
