After a short break, I’m back with few concepts that’s ready for sharing.
One Such Ideas is about Traffic Signal and the time scheduling.
This ideas is not new, I remember sharing it in one of the blog post. But after a trip from Domlur to Madivala Thavakere lane, I feel it’s time to re-post the idea.
Why do road management team give equal importance to both lanes?
For instance the Intermediate Ring Road from Domlur is always a clogged line. Entire traffic waits at the signal for a very long time, while the other side is almost a free ride. In such traffic points, it’s better to allot less time for the side where there’s thin traffic. It makes sense, isn’t?
Also, during certain time of the day, the traffic pattern changes. In those cases, the traffic team can make use of sensors placed by the side of the road to see the traffic flow and automatically this should change the timing.
