At last, all the bits and pieces of blogs that I have been writing over the years has been merged to this blog. Whew!
After this new merger, this blog is going to a powerhouse for all my personal branding, and networking efforts. At least, that’s what I think about it.
Now, I should be having over 1000 blog posts on this blog – most of which are one liners or with just a picture. Also, most blogs are not fit to read or shared. I hope to delete them or add more meat to it so that it has some value for the visitor. However, visiting all these posts is not easy and it’s going to a long effort.
FRESH START
One of the key topics shared on this blog would be around small business ideas, start-up plans, life, lonely life, meetups, networking, and also about events around my life. Hopefully, I’ll trim the excess flab in my writing and make it succinct – a task which by no means is easy.

Ideas around Getting Rich
Few lines said, phrases that struck me from the podcast https://copyblogger.com/ramit-sethi/
Is that really where you want to spend your time? I’m not so sure.
( Where to focus your time?)

Focus on those $30,000 questions, it is so much more powerful than getting mired in the weeds, mired in the details of these $3 questions.
( Most often we spend our time dealing with little savings that we miss the big question)
And if the answer is the few, like a few pennies here and there, maybe it’s not worth spending time on.
Incremental growth ( Which area do you want to grow? Progress, step-by-step, drip-by-drip as said by Seth Godin)
Mental mastery
There’s finding a dream job and then mental mastery. So I love that stuff, but I would just caution people, don’t try to do it too quickly. We made that mistake and was crippling, so focus on the things that are working and try to do a little bit more of those.
We’ve really dialed down on is this minimum viable audience
Copywriting called Call to Action.
Finding a profitable idea, testing it, doing it rapidly.
Starting a business from behind their computer. NO, get face-to-face learning experience.
People are lonely behind the screen
What would you do if you could quadruple your spending?”
No Parking Bike Towing in Bangalore

Lifting Bike on to the Deck
Hauling bikes from No Parking Zones
Just clicked this scene near Tippasandra. It’s a common sight and two wheeler drivers knows how these fellas scoop and lift scooters and bike parked in no-parking area. However, the sad thing is that there are no proper signage to inform bike riders about parking spaces.
I have once parked my scooter on Cambridge Layout. After some time the dobi fella came running to my house to tell that my scooter has been picked by the cops. When I ran outsie, all I could see was the sight of my scooter riding on top of the mini-lorry which was converted into a tow-away vechile.
Did you have similar experience?
This kind of tension is not there in Trivandrum. I can park next to the road side and go to shop or go around without fear of vehicle being taken away by cops. But I guess, it won’t be long before our cops in Trivandrum adopt this kind of traffic law-enforcement strategy.
Her Trivandrum Post Share

Another quote downloaded from the Fb group – Her Trivandrum. These posts are shared here so that it’s easy to revisit and rethink of these lines at another time. I hope you will find it useful too.
The essence of the lines are about judging people from the physical appearance or forming a opinion after a brief interaction. Though I have made repeated formed wrong judgement, I still can’t help the basic instinct of judging people.
Why Do We Judge even though we know it’s not always correct?
Why do we still look to make the first impression?
How can we become non-judgmental?
Experience Trophies

Looking back at life, what are the moments you can instantly think of? Is it the meeting with that person, sticky situation at work place, failures along the way, hard-work that was not counted, getting ignored by someone or by all, or the time you felt you were left out from the list, etc.
Unlike my generation ( baby boomers), kids in their 20’s now are seeking experience over other things. I guess, it’s more of a pragmatic way of looking at life – heaping moments to think and opportunities for learning by exposing into different circumstances.
What do you say about experience?
What will you trade for an opportunity to experience something?

Thoughtful Lines to Live By

Just sharing an image ( motivational or guiding thoughtful posts) on how to lead a purposeful and higher life. This post appeared on a Facebook Group called Her Trivandrum and I thought I post it here for more visibility.
Declutter 2020 Project

Bedroom has many junk stuff
Messy storage space
Guest bedroom is the dumbyard
This year a lady suggested me about Marie Kondo, a de-clutter evangelist. Based on her suggestion, I watched couple of her videos on YouTube. After watching few, I got into a de-clutter spree, only to stall half-way through. My typical self got over and I went back to ignoring the pile of things collecting in the corners of the house.
Now the question is, how to build consistency of act over everything?
How to deliberately do tiny acts of de-clutter?
This is how my present lies. I hope to slowly discard and bring order to my house and garden. I’ll share pics as soon as the project shows a visible order.
See you in a Orderly way!
P.S – Today, I kept the unused UPS for discarding. Small step indeed, a sure step towards a cleaner home. Also, I used a torch light to see the expiry date of Murivenna Kottakkal ( Ayurvedic Oil for Aches). The expiry date was showing 2018. Riddance to it.
Finding Ikigai

I think I first came to know about Ikigai from Seth Godin’s blog. That was few week ago and today I have the book with me. So, what’s the who buzz about Ikigai?
According to Hector Garcia, Ikigai can be summed as the “a reason for being” – the thing that gets you out of bed each morning.
Few questions about Ikigai?
1. Is Ikigai only for people who are freelancers or those start-ups passion projects?
2. How to find Ikigai in a typical work? ( Programmer, designer, homemaker, clerk, peon, security person, etc)
3. Is our school or college curricula facilitating Ikigai concept?
Ikigai Mobile App
Just as I was writing this post, I had an epiphany about having a Mobile App to discover or go towards an Ikigai lifestyle. The idea of the app would be to help people find passion projects, and get them to build a life towards that moment.
1. List moments which drives curiosity
2. Fining things each person likes
3. List out things they are good at
4. Finding gaps in the current market ( What the world needs)
5. Vocation
6. Help people easily visualize about Ikigai aspects and grow them
( All these and more in the application will be designed and developed for users to add inputs and know where they now and how to build a meaningful life.)
