Lonely?

Imagine spending a weekend with no single activity to pursue…. your wife/girl friends/friends away, or they are preoccupied!

yes, this similar situation haunted me for couple of weekends and I’m now dent on finding a way to kill my isolation chamber.

Lonely in Bangalore?
So far I’ve tried out different ways to find a activity partner in this city full of strangers, but it’s not working the way I had envisaged. I traveled to off-beat country routes, I went to flea markets to hunt down souvenir, went to used book stores to buy couple of fiction titles, and went to near by club to play T.T … so on…

But in-spite of my attempt to find a real passion to unwind a fruitful weekend left we with half-hearted success. When I look back I wonder what I lacked.

The sudden emptiness caused with the departure of my wife ( on work project ) took unexpected jolt on my otherwise busy weekend activity. One thing is sure, I had no back-up activities, I depended entirely on one person to full-fill all my life’s plans.

Coming days will be a testing time on how I can reach out to similar people, lock on to do or start a lively relationship. Sure, there are lonely people like me looking out to experiment, or expand their life beyond their existing realm….

Here’s a link on how well you can start talking to a stranger….

Jilted by terror strikes

Serial blasts Black Day for India

Saturday, 26th, a day that has been marred by a series of blasts all around Ahmedabad. Stitting at Cafe’ day at Cambridge Layout, I was watching how the news was unfolding on this bad tragedy. How can a common fella like me react to such gastly acts. Is it just an act of some section of Muslim
community or it is a backlash of some thing we all have created.

For me the whole day didn’t present with a glory weekend feeling. With a drained salary account, there was nothing I could cheer about and nothing chilled I could think of. On top of that the inert fear of another blast episode kept me closer to home, ie Cafe day @ cambridge layout.

“Memories of my melancholy whores”

Sitting at the smoking zone of Cafe’ day, I started reading the short novel by Marquez, “Memories of my melancholy whores”. With in few pages into this book, it took on very blatant style of his favorite expression about sex and women….

Well I like this bold expression like , ” I have never gone to bed with a women I didn’t pay, and the few who weren’t’ in that profession I persuaded, by argument, by force, to take money…….

“The year, I turned Nienty, I wanted to give myself the gift of a night of wild love with an adolescent virgin. “….

Got to finish this book on Sunday, I was narrating few lines to my lady and she just passed it as only of usual pranks and about how the books spoke like my nasty thoughts….

Electronic Eye – A good way out

Coming back to blasts and such incidents, I bet these authorities has to wake up and put more electronic security devices at all the important locations. I wonder why Bangalore a city which has so much IT firms has failed to do these basis security measures.

If such snoopy devices were placed earlier it would been very easy for the cops to locate these sick minds. I hope at least these incidents will prompt them to look for such deterrent measures.

Late evening Friday show @ cambridge layout

After three days of house arrest with running nose and bad stomach, I ventured out to get some fresh air around Cambridge Layout. No sooner I kick started my gear less scooter , I became a part of the zooming Friday evening traffic.

My first stop was a recharge for Reliance phone and next stop was the food stop at FoodWorld. At the entrance of the building saw an announcement for vacancies for counter staff.

Qualification SSLC and Pay from 3.5 to 4.5k + incentives. Pay is not bad and I wonder on what grounds incentives are bailed out.

There was nothing unusual about the service about Food world. This time I saw new faces at the counter, a bit more energetic and a slightly friendly.

Date @ Cambridge Road Caf’e Day

Finally I parked next to the Caf’e Day at Cambridge Layout. It’s been days since I have visited this coffee bar and It was time for a renewal.

It was almost empty for Friday and I took a seat in the Smoking zone and sat at a vantage to see the whizzing traffic. Ordered Caf’e Latte and brought my thoughts on the road below. It was raining vehicles all zipping past this one way. All sorts of flashy cars and flashy ladies with wealthy looking husbands and lovers. All looked towards a heart full weekend..

After some 10 mts, a young couple joined in. The lady in her early 20’s with short hair and a equally smart young man. It’s nice to see such pairs in action @ new age coffee house. With lots of tales to trade, coffee & pubs are the ideal breeding ground for romance and for people to spend some quality time.

No soon as they settled down, I saw her pulling a cancer stick from her Wills Classic box and followed by a whiff of smoke. In Bangalore it all too common to see young girls bellowing puffs of smoke in these coffee joints and no one gives a second look. It’s a fad for them and I somehow like the way ladies carry themselves when they smoke.

Routine stuffs when it comes to Bangalore, but a big NO when it comes in Trivandrum,Kerala. It’s irony of sort, of how social habits changes across the border.

While nursing a hot coffee now turned cold, with the sweet Bangalore weather, I called up few of my acquaintances and spend my time thinking of my task ahead. As time grew late, I paid 50 bucks for the coffee and time well spend, I look leave of this pace. Reached on to my den with some fodder to think and write.
